Sustainability Policy

Mission

Burhani Enterprises, Inc., (Burhani) is committed to protecting the environment, the health and safety of our employees, and the community in which we conduct our business. It is our policy to seek continual improvement throughout our business operations to lessen our impact on the local and global environment by conserving energy, water, and other natural resources; reducing waste generation; recycling and reducing our use of toxic materials.

We are committed to environmental excellence and pollution prevention, to meeting or exceeding all environmental regulatory requirements, and to purchasing products that have greater recycled content with lower toxicity and packaging, thus reducing the use of natural resources.

The objectives of our Sustainability Policy reflect the company’s commitment to operate in a way that, to the best of our ability:

• Supports the Earth’s natural resources and sustains its life forms.
• Grows our business operations and, in turn, a diverse, financially viable workforce.
• Encourages employee input for improving sustainability efforts and initiates or revises efforts wherever practicable.
• Fosters a reputation as a sustainability leader in and an asset to the communities in which we operate.
• Appraises our business partners’ commitment to sustainability.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, vendors, and authorized representatives acting on behalf of Burhani. In concert with Burhani’s Environmental Management System manual, this policy encompasses all aspects of the company’s environmental sustainability efforts.

Policy Statement

Burhani is committed to:

• Resource Conservation: Conserving natural resources including water, energy, and raw materials by implementing efficient processes and practices.
• Waste Reduction and Recycling: Minimizing waste generation and promoting recycling, reuse, and responsible disposal practices.
• Energy Efficiency: Striving to reduce energy consumption and promoting the use of renewable and clean energy sources where feasible.
• Sustainable Procurement: Considering environmental sustainability criteria when selecting suppliers and products, with preference for those who maintain eco-friendly and sustainable certifications.

Procedures for these efforts are documented in our Environmental Management System (EMS) manual.

Environmental Management System

Procedures that contribute to reaching the objectives of our Sustainability Policy are documented in Burhani’s EMS manual. Those procedures The goals of the EMS are to guide our activities and commitments to:

• Comply with and, where practicable, exceed the requirements of our EMS.
• Meet or exceed all relevant EMS compliance obligations, customer and product requirements, industry guidelines, and any other of our sustainability commitments.
• Demonstrate senior management’s commitment to sustainability.
• Partner with customers, vendors, and contractors to fulfill sustainability goals.
• Strive toward continual improvement of our sustainability policy and EMS to enhance performance.
